The Texans have cut safety Chris Clemons today to make room for a familiar face. Recently released Cincinnati Bengals safety Danieal Manning is set to return to the Texans. Word on the street is he’s awaiting clearance from the Texans medical staff prior an official announcement. He was released back in March by the Texans and singed a one year deal with Cincinnati. This evidently was a mistake for both teams and Manning is being brought back into the fold. He had been with the Bears and Bengals prior to coming to Houston.

His contract became a liability as the team shifted into new priorities,

2013 was not a good year for Manning as he went down with a broken leg. A year of woe that just wouldn’t stop hurting. Maybe this is karma coming back the right way. Manning was previously set to make 4.5 Million with the Texans prior to his release. No information yet on what a new contract would like like. In 2011 he signed a $48.75 million dollar five year deal but was asked to take a pay cut in March prior to being released. More to come on if this deal goes down.
