ESPN.com has an article about how Houston Texans Arian Foster stands alone in the AFC South in what was once, as they described the division as once being a “running back’s paradise.”
That is very true.
The article by Tania Ganguli said:
"“Former Jaguars star Maurice Jones-Drew signed with the Oakland Raiders in free agency and on Friday the Tennessee Titans released Chris Johnson.”"
It is kind of sad in a way because it was fun seeing all of the top running backs square off against each other (when healthy) twice a season against their division rivals, but that is the way of the NFL anymore.
I like the passing game that the NFL has become, but sometimes I miss the importance and value put on the running game in the “old” NFL.
In other Texans news:
• Here is a second mock draft by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. He has the Texans selecting Johnny Manziel No. 1 overall.
• CSN Houston has an article about how former Texans tight end Owen Daniels is looking forward to facing the Texans this season as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.
• Sports Illustrated wrote how the Texans are leaning towards drafting a QB with the No. 1 overall selection.
