Let’s start our Wednesday by visiting our friends at House of Houston as they wrote about Garrett Graham and some rumors involving the Houston Texans.
The article states about Graham, a free agent tight end of the Texans:
"“Garrett Graham is no Jimmy Graham, but he is a good tight end. Last year, he had career high 49 catches for 545 yards, and 5 touchdowns. That’s with the Houston Texans flipping a coin to decide who their starting quarterback would be each week.”"
I understand Garrett is no Jimmy, we all do, but my thoughts for the free agent Garrett Graham and the Texans is they need to stop messing around and re-sign him.
He won’t be expensive, he has potential to be a quality TE and under new head coach Bill O’Brien I believe he’ll reach that potential during the 2014 season.
• ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky has an offseason blue print for the Texans, writing:
"“(Danieal) Manning could be a salary cap casualty, as cutting him as he heads into the final year of his deal would save $4.5 million.”"
What are your thoughts on the potential of seeing Manning cut by the Texans? Mine are, after seeing how the defense performed last season, I don’t have a problem with it.
In other news:
• The Houston Chronicle reported the Texans have re-signed backup linebacker Ricky Sapp.
• Here is an article from CSN Houston about how Johnny Manziel isn’t the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick anymore.
