Round 7
No. 193
Ryan Carrethers
Defensive Tackle
Arkansas State

Carrethers could possibly be a surprise on the seventh round for the Texans. With free agents on the horizon and with this being their final pick in the draft, this would be a good spot to look for a DT.

Carrathers is the 16th-rated DT and the 181st overall rated player in the draft.

An article from Oct. 28 on NFL.com says of the DT:

"“Carrethers made 16 tackles in a loss to Louisiana-Lafayette. For a linebacker or a safety, that would be a high total, but not unheard of. For a 330-pound defensive tackle, it’s positively outrageous.”"
