Most Heartbroken Texan:

Wade Phillips

Look, the Phillips family has deep roots in this city, both have had ill fortune and bad timing. Bum made the Texans something special, he got a bad deal from the original Jerry Jones, Bud Adams. Wade I think really wanted to be the head coach, being passed over for a young outsider, well. I feel for him. I wish the Son of Bum all the best moving forward.

Runner Up:

Tie! Brian Cushing and Arian Foster

As soon as Cushing was hit, he knew, he knew he was regulated to sweat pant cheerleader status. For a young man with as much potential as he has, the drive he has… Stay strong Mr. Cushing, we’re all behind you. Arian Foster never really got moving, it was obvious something was wrong, and like Cushing his season ended too soon.

Future: Both are now questionable durability wise. Opposing teams know Cushing is dangerous, they also know he has a weak spot. I’m not saying anyone will play dirty per say, but football is war, and in war all is fair. Arian has been a carrying a heavy load each season, has it finally caught up to him or was this in a way a fortuitous set back? Time will tell but the Texans must draft or look for someone to step in should Foster fail to recover.
