Week 16 has arrived for the Houston Texans, and in just a few short hours they will be hosting the Denver Broncos who are 11-3 on the season. The Texans are 2-12 overall.
Will the 12-game losing streak of the Texans end today? Highly unlikely, but it would still be worth watching to see if the hosts can compete with the the best team in the AFC.
ESPN has a mailbag by Tania Ganguli, as she answered a question about Ken Whisenhunt and why he’s being considered for the head coaching job.
She answered:
"” A likely factor in this is his familiarity with general manager Rick Smith. And of course, there’s the Bob McNair Criteria: head coaching experience and NFL experience.”"
In my opinion, another reason he’s being considered is because he’s a darn football coach who should still be a head coach in the league, not just a coordinator.

Here is a post from the Ultimate Texans blog about how Ryan Griffin will most likely make his second start of the season.
"“Rookie Ryan Griffin, who had six catches for 62 yards against the Colts, is expected to start his second game in a row.”"
It will be good to see more of the rookie against competition like the Broncos’ defense.
From Comcast SportsNet in Houston, they have five matchups to watch this week, one being Peyton Manning vs. Joe Mays and Darryl Sharpton.
It says in the article:
"“Manning will do everything he can to get Joe Mays and Darryl Sharpton covering running backs and tight ends in space.”"
If I have to pick a winner, I’m going with No. 18.
