To say the 2013 Houston Texans season has been a disappointment is an understatement, but the team still has three games to get through before the hectic offseason of hiring a new head coach and figuring out who to draft in the first round is the main concern.
Speaking of disappointment or unhappiness, the Ultimate Texans blog on the Houston Chronicle website has an article where rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said he’s “unhappy” with his first season.
Brian T. Smith quoted Hopkins saying:
"“I’ll take some credit as far as the (losing) record, because I feel like I can do more personally and take some pressure off Andre (Johnson). I’m a hard critic of myself.”"
I thought Hopkins would have more of an impact on the Texans’ offense this season, but I’m not unhappy with what he’s done in his very first year in the NFL with all that has happened in Houston.
Once next season arrives, with a new head coach, possibly a new quarterback, and with one season under his belt his sophomore year in the NFL will be even better I believe.
Also at Ultimate Texans, John McClain gives us his Week 15 NFL predictions.
Here is an article from ESPN’s Tania Ganguli about if the Texans can mimic the the turn around of the Kansas City Chiefs next season. She wrote about the who Jeffri Chadiha thinks the new head coach will be:
"“Chadiha likes the thought of former Bears coach Lovie Smith or Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt as the Texans’ next coach.”"
