It is time for another game of Houston Texans football, and though today is a long shot for a victory, it is still the NFL and that’s something to be excited about.
The Texans host the New England Patriots at 1 p.m. EDT today at Reliant Stadium, as the Texans are 9-point underdogs according to the Vegas odds makers.
Speaking of the matchup, the Ultimate Texans blog by the Houston Chronicle, John McClain has “Five Questions” entering the matchup. One question the veteran writer has about the game is “Will the Texans score an offensive touchdown?”
He wrote about that question:
"“They produced only two field goals in the 13-6 loss to Jacksonville, so it’s doubtful they’ll do much better against New England, one of the league’s premier teams. They haven’t been able to run the ball consistently, which affects the play-action game.”"
ESPN.com has an article about how Aqib Talib is a measuring stick Andre Johnson. Tania Ganguli wrote in the article:
"“After playing each other last season, Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib offered mutual expressions of respect.”"
Blair Parker of House of Houston gives us a Week 13 preview of the Texans vs. Patriots. Parker wrote:
"“I keep trying to placate my negative attitude regarding the Texans with the thought that we might end up with the number one overall pick in the draft, but it doesn’t always work, so you’ll have to forgive me if I’m a little more negative this week. “"
