Houston Texans fans aren’t happy and honestly who can blame them?
It seems like the Texans were taking a couple steps forward by letting Case Keenum work out the kinks of being an NFL quarterback during this lost season, but head coach Gary Kubiak changed things up Sunday by inserting former starting quarterback Matt Schaub into the lineup in the third quarter.
The decision didn’t really work out as planned for Kubiak, as Schaub was unable to throw a touchdown pass (Keenum had one TD pass in the second quarter) and the Texans earned their eighth consecutive loss by a 28-23 to the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders now have four wins, double the overall total of the Texans.
To help matters, Schaub and wide receiver Andre Johnson (the longest tenured Texan player) got into an argument, which really didn’t help at all, no matter what either player is saying to the media.
Sunday was possibly the worst lost of the season when it comes to having any momentum for the remainder of the season. The playoffs are out of sight, a winning record can’t happen, and the best the Texans can hope for is to win out for the remainder of the season to finish 8-8.
Big Whoop!
Anyway, here are some reactions from fans on Twitter on all the above topics. The next game for the Texans is Sunday when they host the one-win Jacksonville Jaguars. Sadly, this game could even be interesting for the Texans.
