The bad news of the day Friday was the official word that Houston Texans running back Arian Foster was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The official Houston Texans site quoted interim head coach Wade Phillips saying,
"“He’s (Foster) had two or three opinions,” Phillips said. “You have to talk to the athletic trainers. They haven’t told me anything about it. Still evaluating is what they’ve told me..”"
The official Texans site also posted a “To-Do” list for the Texans this Sunday with the No. 1 thing to do is “kickin’ it.”
Deepi Sidhu of the Texans’ official site wrote:
"“Is it an understatement to say that the heat is on for Randy Bullock? Despite reportedly bringing in kickers Shayne Graham, Neil Rackers, and Justin Medlock, the Texans have decided to start Bullock for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.”"
Over at House of Houston, Yoni Pollak gave the Texans a Mid-Season Report Card. His grade for the team overall was a D. He wrote:
"“It’s been a disappointing and rough season for all parties involved. The player’s know they should be playing much better, the coaches are feeling the heat, and the fan’s are breathing the fire. 2-6 is unacceptable to all and it may be too late to turn around the season.”"
The Houston Chronicle has an article about how the Texans’ offense has finally opened up under Case Keenim. In the article, Brian T. Smith wrote,
"“Case Keenum accomplished more in the last two games than Matt Schaub did in the Texans’ initial six. At least when it comes to throwing downfield.”"
