The Texans should trade for Maurice Jones-Drew: If you want to take a different approach to the season and still think the Texans have a shot to advance to the postseason and beyond the opening round, why not get some more running back depth?

MJD is really in need of a new home, and with the nagging hamstring injury to Arian Foster returning, the injured ribs of Ben Tate being a factor and the recent release of Cierre Wood … why not make a bold trade and bring in MJD for the remainder of the season and see what happens?

I don’t know if the Texans will be willing to pay the price, but it could be the boost this team needs to help break in Case Keenum at quarterback as well.

After Tate, the Texans have no depth at running back, so though this trade is highly unlikely, and I don’t even know if it would work out … it is still a thought, a thought that could make this offense perform better than what is currently is.
