Headed into the mid-week point before week seven, there was some silence yesterday in the camp of the Houston Texans. With Wednesday being the day when everything starts to gear up again, there was still some news for your 2-4 Houston squad.
In Houston Chronicle’s John McClain’s NFL power rankings: Week 7, he ranked the Texans at 23rd overall, three spots worse than last week.
McClain wrote about the Texans:
"“In Gary Kubiak’s first 7 seasons, they were 43-5 when running at least 30 times. Now they’re 43-8.”"
That sums it up, right … RUN THE BALL!
The Chronicle also had an article titled, Texans’ Plan D: Vince Young and free-agent QB market by Justin Boyd saying:
"“So in honor of VY and Tryout Tuesday – a day in which teams kick the tires on unemployed players – here are 10 out-of-work QBs (and an extra retired one thrown in for fun) that the Texans could consider (though it’s highly unlikely) signing.”"
In an article by Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks with the headline, With his team in free-fall, Gary Kubiak appears to be out of answers, he wrote:
"“The beleaguered Houston head coach is still in the first half of his eighth season with the Texans. But he’s currently working on his ninth career losing streak of at least three games.”"
