The Houston Texans released their Wednesday injury report earlier this evening, where five players on the active roster did not participate in practice.

Not on the DNP list, but out of action for at least the next month, was starting tight end Owen Daniels who will miss action with a broken fibula.

On Wednesday’s DNP list were the following players: inside linebacker Tim Dobbins (hamstring), wide receiver Andre Johnson (shin), wide receiver Keshawn Martin (shoulder), inside linebacker Darryl Sharpton (foot) and left guard Wade Smith (knee).

Those are some very important players for the Texans and with the way they’ve looked so far this season, the two-win Texans can’t afford to lose another player on the active roster for any amount of time.

In limited participation were five players, including two starting offensive linemen in right guard Brandon Brooks (toe) and left tackle Duane Brown (toe).

Also on the limited participation list was running back Arian Foster (thumb/chest), outside linebacker Bryan Braman (knee/neck) and free safety Ed Reed (knee).

It is never good to have two starting offensive linemen on a limited participation injury list during the week, but Brown returned to action last week, while Brooks missed his first game of the season in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

For the Texans’ best benefit … it would be nice to have the actual five starting offensive linemen all back on the field at the same time, something they haven’t had since week two.

Those with full participation were: inside linebacker Brian Cushing (knee), cornerback Brice McCain (knee), center Chris Myers (biceps), right tackle Derek Newton (knee), safety Eddie Pleasant (ankle), wide receiver DeVier Posey (achilles), defensive end Antonio Smith (quadricep), running back Ben Tate (elbow) and defensive end J.J. Watt nose).

I see no real reason why any of the players listed on the full participation let won’t be on the field this Sunday … no worries here.

For the St. Louis Rams Wednesday, those who did not participate in practice were: cornerback Cortland Finnegan (thigh), tackle Rodger Saffold (knee) and running back Zac Stacy (chest).

Those limited in practice for the 2-3 Rams were: defensive end William Hayes (knee) and defensive tackle Matt Conrath (concussion).
