Although a day and time is yet to be set, it appears free agent safety Glover Quin will pay a visit to the Detroit Lions sometime this week to discuss the possibility of a move up north.

The Houston Texans safety hit the market earlier this afternoon, and was always a popular candidate for visits. It’s obvious to say how much losing Quin would hurt the Texans, but with just $9 million in salary cap cushion to play with, Houston may not have much of a say – especially if the Lions throw big time money at him.
For the Lions, the move makes perfect sense. Quin can switch between safety and cornerback, and is a pretty nice fallback option if Louis Delmas walks out of Detroit in the coming days.
According to Pro Football Talk, Quin is set to earn somewhere close to safety William Moore’s $30 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons – or perhaps just a little bit less.
