Twitter gave off some mixed reactions to the Houston Texans drafting Deshaun Watson.
Given the track record of Texans general manager Rick Smith, it was a surprise when he traded up to draft quarterback Deshaun Watson on Thursday night.
I have to admit that one of the best parts of watching something like the NFL draft is the reaction from people on Twitter.
Here are the positive reactions to the Texans selecting Watson:
Welcome to Houston @DeshaunWatson4

I talked to #Clemson QB Deshaun Watson two nights ago. He told me the No. 1 spot he wanted to go was Houston. The #Texans trade up for him.

Texans had Deshaun Watson as their No. 1 QB in this class. Coaches loved the intangibles he brings to the table. His visit went great too.

The fans that attended the Texans’ draft party were fired up with the Watson pick.
A great trade by Smith to get Watson for next year's No. 1. Fans going crazy at NRG Stadium.

@MikeMeltser Watson. Bad pick!! We gave up a major asset for a QB who throws picks. Aren't we trying to get away from INT's?! Wanted O-line.

There will always be people that aren’t thrilled about certain players. It just gives players like Watson more motivation to prove them wrong.
Watson is my favorite quarterback in this year’s class.
I know he doesn’t have the best skill set, but Watson is good enough to be a winner in the NFL.
The most important thing is that Watson works hard, is a leader and he knows how to win in clutch situations.
