It has been a slow game featuring a battle between Savage and Dallas third string quarterback Dustin Vaughan. Neither team has gotten much going as Polk leads the team with 36 receiving yards at the half on four receptions.

Battling Polk for the last running back spot is Kenny Hilliard who has only produced 14 yards on seven carries, all but assuring he will be among the cuts by Saturday, although he may still have a shot at making the practice squad.

Rookie receiver Jaelen Strong has added 18 yards on three receptions and Keshawn Martin added four catches but only managed 15 yards total as he battles for the last receiver spot.

On defense linebacker Justin Tuggle and defensive lineman Fili Moala combined for a half sack each for the only real defensive statistic of the first half.

Dallas has struggled as well as running back Ben Malena has 31 yards rushing on five carries, with 22 coming on one play. Gus “The Bus” Johnson has only 24 yards on 10 carries while their first half passer, Vaughan, has completed five of eight passes for 59 yards.
