Texans sit Clowney, Cushing for Eagles game.

The Texans, all ready facing a tough opponent in the Eagles have an even bigger uphill battle. #1 draft pick, Jadeveon Clowney whose seen limited actions this season has been sidelined with “flu like” symptoms. This is unfortunate because the Texans need his speed and threat. Not only is Clowney down, so is Brian Cushing who is still recovering from two seasons of broken legs and surgically repaired knees. Cushing, when healthy is the heart of this defense, the mad dog on the field that inspires his teammates. We don’t know what kind of player Clowney really is because we’ve not seen him really play, but we’d like to see that potential realized. The Texans have to stop the Eagles fast paced offense. Doing that is a lot harder now. They both could still play, it just won’t be at their optimal level.

The full list follows:

  • CB Darryl Morris
  • QB Tom Savage
  • WR DeVry Posey
  • OT Jeff Adams
  • ILB Jeff Tarpinian
  • ILB Brian Cushing
  • OT Jeff Adams
  • OLB Jadeveon Clowney

This a list that tells how tough it will be for the Texans to beat the Eagles. With the weather as good as it is, one would hope they would open the roof but from what information I have gathered the advantage of the crowd will keep the roof closed. A pity weather wise, but smart. GO TEXANS!
