It’s Thursday, and that means we’re rolling into the weekend, Texans football draws ever closer. I wonder, whose more excited about this weekend? Texans fans or the kids who live near J.J. Watt? How’d you like to go up to that door and knock? Think about it for a minute. All right, on to the predictions!
1. J.J. Watt will be amazing.
Okay, perhaps that isn’t so bold, but consider the speed of the Eagles offense and how it’s a well oiled machine, a dance if you will that operates on a high tempo. Enter J.J. Watt. If any one player in the NFL can derail the Eagles machine, it’s Watt. Look for him to give Nick Foles headaches all day long.
2. The secondary will contain the deep passes.
They know that the Eagles ground game is a threat, but the real danger for the Texans is through the air.
Stopping Foles from tossing a bomb down the field is their first and biggest priority and they will deliver. With Watt terrorizing the front line the secondary will have the advantage.

3. The tight ends get used for passes.
I’ll keep posting this one till it happens, dang it. Bill O’Brien is a big tight end guy, or so his history says, but so far has not utilized Graham or Fiedorowicz to any extent. November will be the month this changes and the Texans offense is no longer the Arian Foster show.
4. Arian Foster and Alfred Blue tear up the field at NRG stadium.
200 yards plus rushing between the two of them. Blue has been playing understudy to Foster, but this will be his break out game. Foster will still be the man, but Blue will make Fosters role less, important. That’s meant in the most positive of ways.
5. Clowney and Watt
Both sack Foles. Both look good doing so. Both give nightmares to the remaining teams on the schedule. Yes, Clowney is still recovering and getting back to 100%, and that’s what will scare the league even more. A healthy Clowney after the bye week and Watt being the monster he is, well that’s going to to lead to great things in Houston. Tune in Sunday to see it really get going.
