Five Bold Predictions: Texans at Titans

facebooktwitterreddit

1. Arian Foster, Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins:

None of them will fumble the ball away and at least one of them catches a touch down pass. They need a bounce back game to atone for previous misdeeds and what better time and place then against the Titans in their house? And a full game with no turnovers by any of these three would be most welcome.

2. J.J. Watt

Will get another touchdown. I don’t think it’s going to be an interception. The Titans coaching staff have almost certainly told their young rookie “If you see Watt, you throw or run in any other direction as fast as you can.” Which is sage advice. However Watt will be gunning for the sack and looking to make another fumble recovery for a touchdown. Preferable not from their red zone, a nice short 20 yard trot would be perfect.

3, The Tight Ends

C.J. Fiedorowicz and Garrett Graham will combine for 12 catches, 2 touchdowns and 143 yards. You want a bold prediction, there you go. Bill O’Brien is supposedly a tight end guru whose offense runs best with the TE in the mix. So far the offense has been anemic and the TE a non-factor. Look for this to be the week that changes.

4, Zach Mettenberger

Will burn the secondary for at least one long pass for a score. I know I know, how’s that a bold prediction considering the Texan have been burnt every game by the long bomb. He’s a rookie so that’s what makes an every game occurrence bold. What? I can pad my predictions once in a while.

5. Ryan Fitzpatrick

Will have the best game of his entire Texan career. Before the Bills game he was emotional. He didn’t even play for them last year. He played for the Titans. Fitzpatrick seems to get fired up against teams that let his beard go. His beard needs revenge and in this case revenge against the hated former Oilers is exactly what we need.
