Mike Zimmer,
Defensive Coordinator, Cincinnati Bengals

I always feel Zimmer is overlooked and underrated when teams hire a head coach. He’s proven he can turn around a defense. Look at the Bengals before he was there, if you don’t believe me.

Zimmer would really “spark” this team as he’s a no-nonsense type of coach, and from what I’ve seen from him over the years, whether it be just with his defenses or on “Hard Knocks,” he’s not going to take losing quietly.

As for what he’d do for the offense, I’m sure he’d hire a new offensive coordinator who would do wonders for a young QB. I don’t see it possible for Matt Schaub to regain his spot as a starting QB with this team.

Zimmer deserves an interview to be a head coach, and I believe the Texans really need to take a good look at him.
