The Houston Texans have been a surprise so far this season and C.J. Stroud more so. I don't think too many people expected Stroud to be performing at the level he is and only the most optimistic fan thought the team could compete for the division crown.

The Texans have won their last two games now and sit at 2 - 2. They travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, who are also 2 - 2 but seem headed in the opposite direction as the Texans. They've lost their last two games while scoring only 13 points in that span but still, Bijan Robinson could be a handful and Houston has struggled to slow down opponents run game.

Jacksonville takes on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday, while the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans battle each other. Depending on how things play out this weekend, there could be a lot of movement within the division. Let's get into where the teams fall in this week's edition of the AFC South standings.

4. Tennessee Titans (2 - 2)

The Tennessee Titans are sitting in the fourth spot but despite everything I've said about my lack of faith in Ryan Tannehill, they still have Derrek Henry, who played well last week. I do have my concerns with Henry being able to sustain a 17-game season, given the wear and tear on his tires.

The one thing they do have going for them is they have allowed the fewest points of any team in the division and the fourth-fewest points allowed in the conference. I've said this before, but I will say it again. This division will be fun to watch throughout the season. I don't think any of these teams will run away with the division and it'll be a dogfight until the end.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (2 - 2)

Jacksonville whooped up on the Atlanta Falcons, 23 - 7, and stopped their two-game losing streak. But how will they fare against the Buffalo Bills, arguably the best team in the NFL and was recently ranked number one in the AFC by one media outlet? It will be a tall order to win this game, but the Jaguars have the talent to pull off the upset.

The Jaguars have a margin of victory this season of minus two, as do the division-leading Colts. Interestingly enough, the Texans have the largest margin of victory in the division at plus 17. My worry with the Jaguars is the simple fact that the Jags are a good team, after all, they were a playoff team and gave the eventual Super Bowl champions a run for their money. They could easily get hot and crank out several consecutive wins.

2. Houston Texans (2 - 2)

It's crazy that the Texans seem to be the team getting all the attention, yet they aren't the team in first, but the Colts have been getting plenty of deserved attention too with how well rookie Anthony Richardson has played. I don't think there is any doubt that Richardson and fellow rookie C.J. Stroud have been the best rookie quarterbacks in the league so far. It's very likely these two quarterbacks will finish one and two in the NFL Rookie of the Year voting.

Houston has the Atlanta Falcons, and this is a very winnable game, but when you start to get comfortable and expect wins, that's when the losses come. I know Coach Ryans will not let this team rest and the potential of getting both of their starting tackles back at the same time would be a huge boost to this team.

1. Indianapolis Colts (2 - 2)

The Colts dropped their second game of the season, losing to the Los Angeles Rams 29 - 23 in overtime, while the other three teams in the division won. This put the entire division into a four-way tie with all teams at 2 - 2. The question is, can the Colts get back into the win column this week against the Tennessee Titans?

This will be a big divisional battle and will go a long way in creating some separation for either team. The Colts have arguably the next-best rookie quarterback in the league in Anthony Richardson, at least after the first four weeks, despite missing last week.

The Colts might be getting Jonathan Taylor back this week too, which would be a huge boost to this team and give Richardson another weapon in the passing game. Taylor is a player the team can lean on when needed to salt a game away late, if necessary.
