1. Is the sack master back?

Welcome to the sack club for the 2018 NFL season, J.J. Watt, as he broke his way through the defense of the New York Giants for three sacks on Sunday, giving the Texans something to be proud of in a game that was a total disappointment from a team aspect.

Besides the three sacks, Watt also had a forced fumble and four tackles, but it was a shame all of that was wasted for the fact as a team the Texans are not on the same page and they continue to lose close games in each of the three weeks played this season.

For the season, Watt has 16 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles. In the Week 3 game alone, the three sacks already surpassed his sack mark from the 2016 and ’17 seasons combined, where he didn’t have any last season and in ’16 he totaled 1.5. For his career Watt has 79 sacks.

What will be fun to watch in a season that could be going to the wayside in terms of making the playoffs is to see if Watt can become the player he once was when 10-plus sacks was the normal total, and if he can avoid getting injured for a third straight season.

Things are so far, so good for the defensive end, and if nothing else, Watt can possibly give the fans something to cheer for in a struggling team season.
