3. Titans

This line was actually decent in the running game last year, ranking second in the division in total rushing yards and tied for 16th in the league in yards per carry at 4.0. However they allowed a league high 54 sacks last season.

At left tackle Taylor Lewan plays more like a right tackle. He’s a road grading tackle with a mean streak, but he’s not able to handle speed rushers. I imagine they will put Jack Conklin at left tackle sooner rather than later.

The eighth overall pick from this year’s draft might start out on the right side, but when he gets up to speed he will be protecting Marcus Mariota‘s backside. You don’t use a top ten pick on a tackle to play on the right side (if you have a right handed quarterback).

Former Texan Ben Jones was snapped up by the Titans in free agency, and will compete with Brian Schwnke for the starting job at center. I think Jones should win that job, but if not the loser will compete with Chance Warmack and Jeremiah Poutasi for the starting jobs at guard.

They have a line comprised almost entirely of run blockers. They needed to improve in pass protection, and it also makes me think that DeMarco Murray could have a decent rebound year behind this line.
