The third quarter:

The Texans manage to hold back Luck and force an Indy punt. The Texans manage to get one good pass to Andre Johnson, an over the shoulder sideline catch that gets everyone fired up but again ends shortly with a punt on the ensuing set of downs. The defense again steps up and stops the Colts dead I their tracks. Punting it away the Texans get the ball back at their 30 yard line. Here, the Texans kick it over and manage a 4 play, minute long drive to score. 27-21. It’s a game again!

Luck puts together an impressive, yet painful drive resulting in another touchdown, putting the game out of reach it seems. Houston stops the Indianapolis 2 point attempt to hold the game at 33-21. Two touchdowns and we can win it. Even my pomeranian’s could sense something was going on as the amount noise here was quiet loud. The quarter ends with the Texans having possession and marching down the field.

The fourth quarter:

Two plays into the quarter, Randy Bullock shanks a 37 yard field wide right to give the ball back to the Cols. It was a 4th and 5 so iffy on if this was the right call. The Colts get the ball back and march to the Texans 45 yard line when, Watt strikes. Yes folks, Watt has another notch in his belt as Luck fumbles, Watt rolls up with the ball and takes it 45 yards for a score! 33-28. It’s a five point game. There is 10:36 to go at this point in the game. NRG Stadium, could be heard from San Antonio it seemed. However, this awesomeness was not to be as first Andre Johnson coughs up a fumbl and then, the Colts are once again stopped by the defense. The Texans have 2:15 seconds and 91 yards to go with no time outs. On the second play of the drive Fitzpatrick tries to run after getting flushed out of the pocket and loses the football. With that the Colts recover and kneel away the hopes of 70,000+ Texans fans. It was, one of the saddest ends to a football game I have ever watched… this century. There is that little matter an Oilers loss to the Bills but let’s not go there.

Folks, this one hurt, the Texans are now 3-3, with a loss to the new leaders of the AFC South. Next week it’s off to the Steelers for Monday night action. The good news? There is rumors that #1 draft pick Jadeveon Clowney will put in an appearance. So hang on to your hats, this team has some fire left after all!
