Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins talked about a variety of things on Monday.

With the Texans’ offseason program kicking off on Monday, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins spoke with the local media.

One thing that Hopkins talked about was how much confidence he has in quarterback Tom Savage.

Let’s hope that all of the work Savage and Hopkins have been putting in will pay off this season. It will all come down to how well Savage manages the game and whether he can stay healthy.

Hopkins joked about Savage not having his preferred alcoholic beverage at his house.

Hopkins did keep things classy with quarterback Brock Osweiler after he was shipped off to the Cleveland Browns.

Earlier in the offseason the Texans said that they plan on working on a contract extension for Hopkins, but he says he hasn’t heard anything new on that front.

Hopkins was asked about Clemson DeShaun Watson visiting the Texans this week.

Watson to Hopkins would be a great combination.

The only way the Houston Texans will be able to draft a player like Watson is if they’re able to trade up in the first round.

Getting back to Hopkins.

He was also asked about his “down year” in 2016.  He replied by saying that football is a team game and that he did his job.

I agree with Hopkins.  I thought he had a very good year for a player that had to deal with poor quarterback play throughout the entire season.
