Why You Should Keep Hope by Battle Red Blog

"So, before we all go batcrap crazy over the current injury report, let’s take a deep breath, step back and take inventory of what’s real.Take a lights-out defense, coached by a defensive coordinator who is arguably one of the ten best in NFL history. Add in a solid young field general mentored by not one, but two highly respected quarterback gurus (mind you, he needs to play behind a questionable offensive line). Then toss in a dynamic corps of wide receivers that give opposing defensive backs fits. Don’t forget a solid special teams unit that may not win the game for you but shouldn’t lose it, either. Then put them in a division with opponents that have all proven quite beatable in recent memory. Mix it all together and you know what you get? The 2015 Denver Broncos. Oh, but add in a solid ground game led by one of the best young running backs in pro ball, and you get the 2016 Houston Texans."

This is a bit of an exaggeration. I highly doubt the Texans will be better than last year’s Super Bowl champions.

Unofficial Depth Chart vs. Arizona by Houstontexans.com

"The Houston Texans (2-0) will welcome the Arizona Cardinals (0-2) to NRG Stadium this weekend for a nationally-televised third preseason game on FOX.Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. CT on Sunday between two division winners from 2015. Houston will be celebrating its Texans Care game, which highlights all the great work the team’s fans, partners, players and staff do in the Houston community."

Quintin Demps is once again listed as the starting strong safety, and that might be a sign that he has won the starting job opposite Andre Hal. Cecil Shorts is listed as second string receiver and first punt returner, so that might be a sign he’s punched his ticket onto the team too.
