After making some wholesale changes to their offensive skill players could the Houston Texans have a new offensive MVP in 2016?

In 2015 the best offensive player on the Houston Texans was hands down DeAndre Hopkins. The third-year wide receiver exploded for 111 receptions 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns as he proved to be one of the best wide outs in the entire NFL.

The most spectacular thing about the performance of Hopkins was the absolute lack of weapons around him all season long. At quarterback the team bounced from Brian Hoyer to Ryan Mallett and then had to turn to guys like T.J. Yates and Brandon Weeden as the season went on.

Running back Arian Foster should have provided some help, but injuries hampered him as he missed all but four games, and he wasn’t himself in those games he did play.

In 2016 though, the team looks much different on offense after addressing needs through both free agency and the draft.

The result is a new starting quarterback in Brock Osweiler (signed away from the Denver Broncos), a new running back in Lamar Miller (signed away from the Miami Dolphins) and a couple new receiving weapons in draft picks Will Fuller (from Notre Dame) and Braxton Miller (from Ohio State).
