Here are your daily Houston Texans stories for draft day:

Texans looking at three different receivers at 22 by Garrett Heinrich, CBS Houston

"SportsRadio 610 is hearing that the Texans are solely focused on three wide receivers to take with the 22nd pick in the draft. We’re told that Baylor’s Corey Coleman, TCU’s Josh Doctson, and Notre Dame’s Will Fuller are the three guys the Texans would like to fall to them."

This should come as no surprise to anyone. They need another guy alongside DeAndre Hopkins to take some coverage away and give Brock Osweiler a reliable second option. This is a class loaded with receiver talent and these guys will go quickly. The Texans are either looking to pounce early on…or perhaps is this a smokescreen? I doubt it, but you never know around draft time.

Texans seven round mock draft by Travis Oquin, House of Houston

"TRADE – The Packers offered the Texans their 1st (27) and their 3rd (88) to trade up.  With a number of good players on the board that interest the Texans, and the Packers looking to move up to get that last of the top 4 offensive tackles, it’s too good of an offer to pass up.At pick 27, Jarran Reed falling to that spot is simply perfect for the Texans.  The defensive end spot vacated by Jared Crick is perhaps the most immediate hole that the Texans need to fill and may be the only place where a rookie could be asked to start from day 1.  Reed fills this need and is the best player on the board at this point."

The Texans have been linked to Reed, so maybe this could happen.

Texans should wait on receiver by Dan Schneider, Today’s Pigskin

"What’s that noise? That’s the sound of me clicking out of another mock draft that has the Houston Texans using their first-round draft pick at No. 22 overall on a wide receiver. We’ve read about them snatching up Josh Doctson, Corey Coleman, Will Fuller and even LaQuon Treadwell, but if they do decide to go this route, it will be a major mistake."

It may not be a mistake to go receiver in the first if you get a really good one, but he does have a point that other positions could be more prudent to address early on.
