With the 21st pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select Notre Dame wide receiver William Fuller after a trade up one spot

The Houston Texans traded up in Round 2 and Round 3 during the 2015 NFL Draft, and they kept that aggressive approach going this season as well. They entered this draft owning the 22nd pick, but decided not to wait any longer as they swapped with the Washington Redskins in order to get the 21st pick overall.

With that selection, the team chose Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller. A deep threat that can flat-out-fly, Fuller gives the Texans another great weapon on an offense which has been fully revamped this offseason.

They signed quarterback Brock Osweiler away from the Denver Broncos and running back Lamar Miller from the Miami Dolphins. Fuller now joins them to give some help to stud wide out DeAndre Hopkins.

Fuller had 2,512 yards receiving and 30 touchdowns in three seasons for the Fighting Irish. As for compensation, Houston gave up a 6th Round choice in 2017 to the Redskins in order to move up the one spot, so the price wasn’t too hefty.
