This is a good test for both teams in their season openers, as both have made head coaching changes this offseason, plus making changes on their rosters, with the Redskins having DeSean Jackson at wide receiver, while the Texans drafted Jadeveon Clowney on defense.

With the new head coaches, the Redskins hired Jay Gruden, who was the offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals. Bill O’Brien was hired by the Texans from Penn State University, where he was their head coach the past two seasons.

O’Brien also has NFL experience as he was the former offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.

• Matchup to watch:
J.J. Watt vs. Trent Williams
Trent Williams will most likely have the task of keeping the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year away from Robert Griffin III. Watt had one sack this preseason, and Williams and the rest of the o-line of the Redskins better be on their game.

• Game Prediction:
Texans 17, Redskins 14
Yes, I know the score is low. The Texans are going to have low scores on offense this season, but I truly believe their pass rush on defense can really help them keep their opponents at bay.

I worry about the defensive backs of the Texans against the Redskins receivers, but once it’s all said and done, I’m picking the Texans to win the season opener.
