This is a game for the Houston Texans just to see where they stand from what they’ve accomplished during the offseason.

A couple of players to watch on the offensive side are the running backs of Andre Brown and sixth-round rookie Alfred Blue. Also, don’t forget to focus on rookie guard Xavier Su’a-Filo (second round selection) and of course the No. 1 overall selection in outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.

Also the play of the three quarterbacks in Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum and fourth-round rookie Tom Savage is enough to keep my attention for the entire game. Though Fitzpatrick is currently the starter, Keenum did start eight games for the Texans in ’13 and could play well enough this preseason to maybe make Bill O’Brien rethink his decision on who the starting QB is.

And for Savage, this is his NFL debut, so that will be interesting for that reason alone.

I’m very excited just to see where this team stands following their first preseason game, especially the offense, because the offense must take some big leaps and stay healthy if they want to have any sort of success as a team for the 2014 season.
