Draft Rumors: Houston Texans want a lot to trade No. 1 overall pick

Earlier this morning, Houston Chronicle NFL reporter John McClain tweeted about exactly how much the Houston Texans want for their No. 1 overall selection if they were to make a trade an move down.

It is a lot.

Here is what he tweeted:

The Texans, if they do trade this No. 1 selection, are going to make teams PAY for it in a big way.

If I were the Texans and got offered that much to trade down in the first round, I would have to do it.

Texans want a lot for No. 1 pick trade

If I were one of the other 31 teams involved in the NFL … I’d have a hard time making that type of trade for one player.

It would be a win for the Texans, but they would be giving up the best prospect in the draft to do so.

The entire NFL Draft is a gamble, but if they do end up trading the No. 1 overall pick, they would be getting a lot in return, possibly making that a gamble worth taking for this team.
