Yesterday was the first day of the Toro Times poll, where we let you have your voice be heard, in a vote, as to who you want to see the Houston Texans draft with the No. 1 overall selection on Thursday, May 8.

After the first day of voting Johnny Manziel is in the lead by a big margin with 76-percent of the vote, followed by Jadeveon Clowney in second with 17-percent of the total vote.

After one day the vote was at 728 total votes.

I didn’t cast my vote for Manziel, as I’m big on Clowney, but that is what makes this vote so much fun … we all have a difference of opinion and makes for great debate.

Trent Dilfer and Mel Kiper Jr. in an ESPN.com video said the Texans should take Clowney No. 1 overall, describing it as a “no brainer.”

The vote on the Toro Times will go for a couple more days, then we’ll really go over the entire vote, and hopefully have some really good debate about it.

The draft is now eight days away.
