Houston Texans Roundup (4/10)

So what does everyone think about the preseason slate of games scheduled for the 2014 Houston Texans?

I think it will be a good preseason slate of games for the team, as the competition they will face should be a good testing point for the team to see where they could be headed in the near future.

The third preseason game is the one that always resembles an actual NFL game – the dress rehearsal, so to speak – and this year, that third game will be against the reigning AFC Champion and even more improved Denver Broncos.

Talk about a tough dress rehearsal, but the good thing about that game is I don’t know if the Texans will see a tougher team the entire regular season that is better than the Broncos.

Plus, competition in the preseason is good. Competition is always good, right?

Here is some more news on the Texans:

ESPN Insider Todd McShay released his newest mock draft, having the Texans select defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

• Also over at ESPN.com, there is an article where Hall of Fame QB Roger Staubach says the Texans should draft Johnny Manziel.

FanSided’s NFL Mocks wrote the best QB fit for the Texans is Blake Bortles.

• Here is another NFL mock draft, this one on CSN Houston.
