Houston Texans Saturday Roundup

Yesterday there was a lot of talk about Johnny Manziel following the article by John McClain of the Houston  Chronicle.

Here is the article by McClain, but on the Toro Times site I gave my current thoughts on Manziel and the possibility of joining the Houston Texans.

• Over at CSN Houston they have an article on how D.J. Swearinger is a fan of the team first mentality of new head coach Bill O’Brien.

The article quoted Swearinger:

“He seems like a coach that’s going to be a great disciplined coach that we need, that I’ve been used to since high school, somebody that’s going to put the team first in everything he does.”

I really would like to see that happen with the Texans. This team still has talent and didn’t completely forget how to play football last season.

Sure there are some things that need fixed or replaced with the team, but by playing in the AFC South and by having the 30th worst schedule in 2014, they should improve their on the field product next season.

• Here are some free agent possibilities from our friends at House of Houston.

NFL SpinZone has an article about if 2014 will be a “bounce back year” for the former starting QB of the Texans.
