If the Texans do decide not to select a quarterback in the first round with the No. 1 overall selection, they either will draft Jadeveon Clowney or trade down in the draft to acquire more picks for depth on the roster.

In an NFL.com article, Clowney was quoted this week as saying on the potential of playing on the same line as J.J. Watt:

"“I love his game. He can help me, and I can help him, hopefully. I’ve watched his game … in situations he gets double teams, triple teams on him, too. That could help me be a bigger factor on that defense.”"
