Billboard, website wants Texans to draft Johnny Manziel

Have you ever heard of the website DraftJohnnyManziel.com?

If you haven’t, it is a website urging the Houston Texans to draft Texans A&M Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Johnny Manziel with the No. 1 overall selection. They also gave a billboard.

CBS Sports reported:

“That site also has a Photoshop of Manziel in a Texans uniform. There’s also a petition to keep Johnny Football in Texas because clearly NFL GMs pay attention to fan petitions when making one of the most important draft selections in team history.”

When viewing, the Draft Manziel site, it says:

“Johnny Manziel is a winner and he is a unique talent–college football has never seen anything like him. Johnny Manziel has proven time and again that he has those skills needed to get the Texans back on track.”

I’m all for the Texans drafting a QB, but I still have questions on all the top rated QBs, including Manziel. If the Texans do take Manziel with the No. 1 overall selection, they will be getting a good football player, but will they be getting the best, NFL-ready quarterback and the best value for that selection?

We still have a long ways to go before we all find out who the Texans are selecting with their No. 1 overall selection, but I just don’t believe “Johnny Football” is the right guy for this team, yet.
