The Houston Texans coaching staff will have a complete fresh start when the 2014 season begin, as new head coach Bill O’Brien didn’t retain any of the coaching staff from the 2013 season.

It is also being reported by Fox Sports writer Alex Marvez that Romeo Crennel will be named the defensive coordinator of the Texans.

Crennel was once the DC for the New England Patriots and is a former head coach with the Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Can you really blame O’Brien for cleaning house of the coaching staff?

It is now his team … his coaches.

Marvez also tweeted about a potential hire for the offensive line coach:

Again, things have to change drastically following a 2-14 season, especially with 14 consecutive losses. There is no other way to look at it. The previous coaching staff didn’t get the job done, so now it is time to try something new.

Let’s face it … it can’t get much worse than it did this past season.
