Texas Bowl

(The Toro Times will preview every college football bowl game, taking a look at the potential prospects in the bowl games that could be drafted by the Houston Texans in the May 2014 NFL Draft.)

The Texas Bowl will be played on Friday, Dec. 27 in Houston, TX at 6 p.m. EDT on ESPN at Reliant Stadium the home of the Houston Texans.

The game features Minnesota (8-4, 4-4 Big Ten) and Syracuse (6-6, 4-4 Atlantic Coast Conference).

According to the CBS Big Board Minnesota has four players on the list, while Syracuse has 13 players listed.

Neither team has a player projected to be drafted higher than the sixth round, except for one player for Minnesota, who could be selected in the first or second round in defensive tackle Ra’Shede Hageman.
