Earlier this week the Houston Texans signed and released players from the practice squad and the roster.

The Texans released Justin Rogers, a cornerback with three years experience. The 5-11, 181 pound player out of Richmond was claimed by the Texans earlier this month.

Rogers played in five games this season with the Buffalo Bills, and most of the past three seasons with the same team. Rogers has 23 tackles this season and one interception.

He didn’t play in a game with the Texans.

The Texans placed offensive guard Alex Kupper on the active roster. The 6-3, 299 pound rookie from Louisville was on the practice squad this season. He was signed by the Texans on May 10.

In college, his senior season, he started all 13 games for the Cardinals.

Adding more offensive line depth can’t hurt a team that has had sub-par pass protection in recent weeks. I don’t know much about Kupper, but maybe he’ll get an opportunity to prove himself on this team with a few of his teammates listed on the injury report.
