This is the 12th week of the NFL season, and the Houston Texans host the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1 p.m. EDT at Reliant Stadium.
Both teams, members of the AFC South, have a combined three wins as the Texans are 2-8 overall, bringing into the game a losing streak of eight straight games.
The Jaguars are currently 1-9 overall, as they are the worst ranked them in the league. They currently hold onto the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 Draft, but that could change with a win today.
Houston vs. Jacksonville will air on CBS today, with the announcers being Bill Macatee, Steve Tasker and Steve Beuerlein.
At Bovada.com, the Texans are a 10-point favorite to win the game this week, but hey, with the Texans nothing is a safe bet, right?
The Jaguars’ lone win came against the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 10 at Tennssee by a 29-27 score.
Houston won their first two games of the season defeating the San Diego Chargers and the Titans, with that last win coming on Sept. 15.
In yards per game allowed on defense, the Texans are currently the No. 1 ranked team in the league at 286.1 and No. 1 in passing yards allowed at 167.5, but let’s be honest … these stats mean nothing if the Texans keep losing.
The Jaguars’ defense ranks 29th in the NFL with 391.6 total yards allowed per game this season.
This should be interesting and nothing less than a win by the Texans.
