Key 2: More from the running game

Since Arian Foster was placed on the injured reserve list a few weeks ago, the Texans haven’t had that much of a productive running game.

Look, Ben Tate is proving he should be a No. 1 running back in the league with the way he’s gutting out the season by playing with cracked ribs, but besides Tate … the Texans have nothing worth writing home about at running back.

The numbers of the backs behind Tate are proof of that, and he and the Texans’ offense needs another back on the roster to step their game up for more running success this season.

Want to know how bad it is behind Tate? Keenum is the third leading rusher with 49 yards. Dennis Johnson with 14 rushing attempts has 45 yards in his handful of games this year. The play behind Tate is just poor … no other way to describe it.
