Betting Lines: Texans underdogs at Chiefs

This week, the four-loss Houston Texans are listed as the underdogs in the Bovada betting lines.

Houston is a +7 underdog as they will face the undefeated Chiefs today, on the road at Arrowhead Stadium. For “entertainment purposes” the Texans have failed to win any point spread thus far this season, including last week against the St. Louis Rams.

If I were a betting man would I place a bet on the Texans … um, no, but NEVER take my betting advice as I haven’t even met a lotto ticket that will give me a winner.

In their last four point spreads on Bovada, the Chiefs have been winners, so there is that as well.

Looking into this game I see no reason for me to even pick the Texans in a straight up win with nothing on the line, much less even giving them seven points with a quarterback who is making his first start of not just the season, but his career.

Nope, I would rather just slip my money through a paper shredder than place a bet on the Texans this week.

The Chiefs have won recent point spreads against Oakland, Tennessee, New York (N) and Philadelphia.

Plus, remember, the Chiefs are undefeated (6-0) and playing good football right now, while the Texans played their worst game of the season one week ago.

We’ll just have to wait an see.
