Kubiak on ways he helps Schaub:
I don’t know that I can read you some specific way to go about it. You just go about it. I’ve been doing this a long time. I’ve had to be there for players through rough times in their careers, regardless if they’re quarterbacks. I’ve been with receivers having rough times, (running) backs. The biggest thing is you, as a coach, you see a person’s a commitment to what they’re doing. And I see this young man’s commitment every day and I have seen it for many years here in Houston.
Kubiak on the adversity the team is going through with the Rams up next:
Well, I think it’s a huge game. It would be big either way, but, yeah, it’s big because of what we’ve gone through these past three weeks. I see a group of guys that are very close, very committed to each other, very hurt. We had a long ride home last night. The only way you fix those things is you go back and play and do things better. I can’t wait for that opportunity to get here. That’s part of it. Yes, it is a very big game.”
