According to bovada.com, the Houston Texans are (+5) against the spread when they face the San Francisco 49ers tonight on Sunday Night Football.

The Texans have lost two straight games (to the Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks), and are 2-2 overall. The 49ers are also 2-2 on the season, winning their most recent game last Thursday against the St. Louis Rams, by a 35-11 score.

In four previous games this season, the Texans, who play in the AFC South, have failed to meet the spread according to bovada.com.

The 49ers, of the NFC West, are 2-2 against the spread. The 49ers are also the reigning NFC champions.

As for the game itself, the 49ers will host the Texans on NBC’s Sunday Night Football (at Candlestick Park) where Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will call the nationally televised game of the week. Michaels will be the play-by-play man and Collinsworth, a former NFL receiver, is the analyst for the game.

Michele Tafoya is the sideline reporter for each Sunday Night Football game. The game can also be listened to on NFL Audio.
