Texans drop to 15th in CBS Sports Power Rankings

Following their loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, their second consecutive loss of the season, the Houston Texans dropped to No. 15 in the weekly CBSsports.com NFL power rankings by Senior NFL writer Pete Prisco.

The Texans were ranked 12th last week, so they’ve dropped three spots due to the loss. Last week in the rankings, the Texans dropped nine spots.

In the fansided.com power rankings this week, the Texans were ranked 14th.

Prisco wrote about the Texans in the power rankings:

“Matt Schaub has to quit turning the ball over in key situations. After losing to Seattle, now they have to try and re-group at San Francisco.”

The rest of the AFC South had rankings of the Indianapolis Colts at No. 6, the Tennessee Titans at No. 11 and the Jacksonvile Jaguars at 32nd in last place.

Fansided.com had the rest of the AFC South ranked the following: Colts (8th), Titans (15th) and Jaguars (32nd).

Prsico wrote about the Jaguars:

“They are really bad. Is 0-16 possible? You bet it is. Could they beat the 1995 Jaguars? Doubt it.”

The No. 1 ranked team in the CBS rankings were the Denver Broncos, followed by the Seahawks in second place. The rest of the Top five was the New England Patriots at No.3, New Orleans Saints in fourth and the Kansas City Chiefs in fifth.

The No. 1 team in the Fansided.com rankings were the Broncos.
