First Thoughts: Wow, wow and wow … after a lackluster first half by the Houston Texans, the visitors in San Diego rallied to comeback and defeat the Chargers, 31-28 with a last second 41-yard field goal by Randy Bullock to seal the win.

Do you realize the Texans scored 24 unanswered points from the 10:42 mark of the third quarter to win the game? Houston trailed 21-7 at halftime and the out-look was stormy to say the least.

Play of the Game: My pick is the interception for touchdown by linebacker Brian Cushing, as it was his first career touchdown. That TD tied the score at 28-28 late in the fourth quarter.

Cushing just made a play there, no doubt about it.

For the most part the Texans’ offense played well. Quarterback Matt Schaub was 34-of-45 for 346 yards and three touchdowns.

Arian Foster and Ben Tate combined for 112 yards rushing, with Foster leading with 57 yards on 18 carries. Tate had nine carries for 55 yards.

Player of the Game: Andre Johnson — 12 receptions, 146 yards for an average of 12.2 yards per catch. Though Johnson didn’t score a TD, he was there when the Texans needed the big catch, and he was a very important part of the final drive that set up the the game-winning field goal.
