’13 Texans preseason schedule

Training camp has started and before we know it the ’13 NFL preseason will kickoff.

For the Houston Texans, the preseason schedule begins on Friday, Aug. 9 at Mall of America Field when they visit ’12 NFL rushing leader Adrian Peterson the Minnesota Vikings with a 7 p.m. CDT start.

From there on Saturday, Aug. 17 the Texans will host the improved Miami Dolphins in Week 2 of the preseason at Reliant Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m. CDT.

In what is usually the most important preseason game of the four played, Houston will host Drew Brees the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. CDT on FOX. This is usually the game the starters play three quarters in their final tune-up before the regular season.

To wrap-up the preseason, the Texans will stay in the state of Texas when they travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the state-rival, the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. CDT.

Houston will kickoff the ’13 regular season on Monday, Sept. 9 when they play in the second game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader, traveling to San Diego to face the Chargers at 9:20 CDT on ESPN.
