Tom Brady Could Be the Cause of Ed Reed’s Hip Surgery

Ed Reed has been amongst some pretty big hits in his career, and has been responsible for dishing out his fair share of punishment as well. But according to the Houston Chronicle earlier today, a kick from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady could be the reason for Reed’s offseason hip surgery earlier in April.

The Chronicle has a full breakdown thanks to Tania Ganguli, and NFL.com has backed up Reed’s claim with the video of the incident, which occurred during the AFC Championship game last year.

According to Reed though, he played through the injury – which includes during the Super Bowl – and made the Texans aware of his numerous MRI’s during his first free agent visit with Rick Smith and the team.

Really, this clears a lot of stuff up, and as Reed said himself, shows just how tough he is at the age of 34. What remains a mystery, is how noone noticed Tom Brady’s kick up until now.

Nobody noticed the kick???? It was noticed during the game by the announcers, and the league by the fine issued the next day.

Brady can hardly run to get out of the pocket…..Reed must have ran into Brady’s foot.
