Texans Owner Bob McNair Pledges $100,000 to Oklahoma Relief Fund

The Texans have spent plenty of money on free agents and signing draft picks this offseason, but none of those dollars have mattered in comparison to the six big figures owner Bob McNair has given to the tornado relief fund in Oklahoma.

Pro Football Talk reported yesterday that McNair has pledged $100,000 to the cause, only a few days after Colts owner Jim Isray gave $25,000 of his own. McNair’s money will be specifically donated to the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Disaster Relief Fund, and even though there is a still months of work ahead when it comes to repairing the devastation, every amount counts.

To be honest, this is good news for the AFC South. Seeing two big time owners stand up among the rest and put football aside if great for the division, regardless of who you support.
